There are many events on-campus which are open to all FSU students that go unnoticed to the average student. These events are sometimes hosted by smaller clubs, and other organizations around FSU, and if the student was not a member of the group itself, he/she would likely never know the event was being held. Some examples of this are as follows: professional development courses, technical skill building classes, various entertainment events (such as some Club Downunder shows), and Leach travel excursions.

The goal for @didyounole is to become a central hub for the FSU community to visit to learn about lesser known events occurring around Florida State’s campus in an interesting and intriguing way.

At its most basic level, @didyounole will serve as a means for FSU students, and the FSU community at large, to become informed about on-campus events that otherwise do not receive much publicity, recognition, or have a large online footprint.

Facebook

On Facebook, @didyounole will be a publicly available group page, which will provide weekly updates on events occurring around FSU’s campus Another feature of @didyounole’s FB group will be a calendar of events for those who would rather interact with our content in this fashion.

Twitter

On Twitter, @didyounole will provide event updates on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday basis. Using this medium, our group will provide our recommendations for two events on that day’s post. This will differ from Facebook in that, rather than providing a weekly longer list of events and happenings in our area, @didyounole Twitter will become a hub for lesser-known-event recommendations, where the content is stripped down to the two highest recommended events for that day by our team. We plan to respond to followers’ inquiries on all social media platforms, but our main conversation medium will likely prove to be Twitter.
